Ultramax® is an analytic, independent, Macro-Supervisory-Control system to quickly improve production performance beyond what is usually managed through the existing Process Control System (PCS). It uses and completes the existing PCS; only requires ongoing measurement of the metrics, and dynamically adapts to changing conditions. The user selects performance metrics such as reliability meeting minimum requirements, feed-forward regulatory control for variables beyond the reach of existing control, and overall Economic Performance.
In Ultramax’s track record about 99% obtained benefits; only about 1% were already operating close to optimal for the existing production system. Benefits range from a few $100K/yr. to a few $1,000K/yr.; some discovering that the process need re-engineering.

ULTRAMAX®, or Advanced Process Management, is a Method and Technology to increase the value generated by existing production equipment -- that is, to profitably utilize its unused, latent capabilities. The solution includes a powerful Balanced Scorecard for production operations. The Software: (1) adjusts (tunes) better the production process to optimize operations; (2) detects problems; and (3) enhances discovery and creativity. The analysis is based on data collected online during production -- it does not require prior models, prior data or experimental runs.
